The Calgary Police Service (CPS) Organized Crime Unit has released images of several suspects connected to an ongoing series of extortion investigations affecting members of the Sikh community, by Sikh Youths, who have their links in USA, India and UK. These Youth Sikhs are targeting Indian Community of Canada, UK and USA for blackmailing, ransom, extortion and threats to kill family members in India of these immigrants living in Canada, USA and UK.
These Sikh Youths were also providing fake documents for political asylum seekers in Canada and USA for money and also arranging border crossing to Canada from USA and to USA from Canada.
According to the confidential sources speaking anonymously these Sikh youths have long list of crime sprees internationally and are not only involved in extortion, but also in drug supplies, drug paddling and international money laundering.
According to investigators, the legal names associated with the individuals shown may not match the names they commonly use within local communities in Canada or in their countries of origin. Police believe these individuals may be linked to organized criminal networks involved in extortion‑related violence.
CPS is urging members of the public to come forward with any information that may assist in identifying the suspects or advancing the investigation. Community cooperation, officers say, is critical to disrupting the networks responsible for these offences.
Anyone with information about the individuals depicted, or about related criminal activity, is asked to contact the Calgary Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
