Oil Companies Release New Petrol-Diesel Prices
New Delhi, March 13, 2026: When oil companies across the country released new petrol and diesel prices on the morning of March 13, 2026, the general public breathed a sigh of relief. Despite an increase of more than 8% in crude oil prices in the international market and the rupee hitting a record low, Indian oil companies have not made any changes to fuel prices for now.
Rising tensions in the Middle East, particularly in the Strait of Hormuz, and attacks on Iraqi oil tankers have triggered volatility in the global market.
According to experts, this relief may only be temporary. If crude oil reaches the $110–$120 level, it will become impossible for companies to keep prices stable. For now, the 30-day license granted by the United States for purchasing Russian oil has provided some relief to the market, but the future still remains uncertain.
