Iran Sets Conditions to End War
Masoud Pezeshkian said that he reaffirmed the country’s commitment to peace after holding talks with Russia and Pakistan.
Clarifying the three conditions, he said the only way to end the war — which he claimed was “ignited by the Zionist regime and the United States” — is:
Iran’s legitimate rights must be recognized.
Compensation for the damages must be paid.
Strong international guarantees must be provided to prevent any future aggression.
Donald Trump claimed that the United States had already won the war against Iran. However, he also stated that American troops would remain deployed there until the mission is fully completed.
The war began after joint strikes were launched on Iran by the United States and Israel on February 28. Since then, intense attacks and counter-attacks have taken place, with reports suggesting that around 1,200 people have been killed or injured.
Attacks on oil tankers in Iran and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz have disrupted global oil supply, leading to a sharp rise in crude oil prices.
Due to the oil shortage, India has increased its imports of oil from Russia during the first 11 days of March, according to commercial sources and tanker data.
