Gunshots Fired at U.S. Consulate in Toronto Amid Rising Attacks on American Diplomatic Posts
Toranto/Shots were fired at the U.S. Consulate in Toronto early Tuesday morning, damaging a door but causing no injuries, police said. The incident occurred around 5:29 a.m. at the U.S. Consulate General Toronto, and authorities have not yet identified any suspects.
Police temporarily closed nearby streets and urged the public to provide dash-cam or surveillance footage to assist the investigation.
The shooting comes shortly after an explosion at the U.S. Embassy in Oslo on Sunday, part of a series of attacks targeting American diplomatic facilities linked to escalating tensions in the United States–Iran conflict.
