Woman Shot at Family Healthcare in Fresno; Suspect Arrested
Fresno/sources/A man has been arrested in connection to a shooting Thursday morning at Family Healthcare Network at Clinton and West in Fresno.
The Fresno Police Department says 69-year-old Bounlab Thammavong was armed with a handgun shot a woman working at the facility multiple times.
The woman was transported to the hospital in critical but stable condition.
Police said Thammavong was found in the lobby and was taken into custody.
The victim, an employee in her 30s, was found near the back of the facility.
Police say Thammavong was a patient at the facility for the past year and was attending a scheduled appointment before the shooting.
Detectives interviewed Thammavong who admitted to shooting the woman.
Thammavong has been arrested for multiple felonies that include attempted murder.
Although an arrest has been made, the investigation remains ongoing.
