Embassy of India in Doha issues advisory for Indians in Qatar
New Delhi/agencies: Amid rising tensions in West Asia, the Embassy of India in Doha has issued a travel advisory for Indian nationals in Qatar. The embassy opened a registration link for Indians stranded in Qatar on transit to help them obtain temporary transit visas for Saudi Arabia if they have confirmed onward travel tickets.
The embassy said travellers may exit Qatar through the Salwa land border into Saudi Arabia in emergency situations. Meanwhile, Qatari authorities have extended all expired or soon-to-expire entry visas by one month starting February 28, 2026.
Indian nationals have been advised to stay in safe locations, avoid unnecessary travel and follow guidelines issued by Qatar’s Ministry of Interior. Flight operations remain suspended as Qatar’s airspace is currently closed, and passengers are urged to stay in contact with their airlines.
