You no more require a human to guard your house, to make you a sandwich, top your ice-cream, iron your clothes, mop the floor etc. etc. All these tasks are now well and better performed by a Robot !! With Artificial Intelligence accompanying the dynamics of robot industry the customization of the task have become easier.
The modernization of the digital world is unstoppable and along with that, the evolution of technology has left no spot for conventional and dull modes and methods to breathe. Meanwhile, the inevitable revolution brought in by AI (Artificial Intelligence) is expected to disrupt even more industries and lifestyles in the upcoming years. Shortly, in 2020 only, the technology, as predicted, will transform many more aspects of businesses and are on the verge to replace you and you might just get unemployed!!
Besides enjoying the perpetual growth in 2019, machine learning is expected to grow further in 2020. The technology will become extensively available to even medium-sized businesses.
With the rise of cyber threats, human efforts are no more a match for it. Therefore, 2020 expects Artificial Intelligence to act as a protagonist in ensuring security across businesses.
The high tech Bots and AI’s not only are target based but also have personalisation feeder involved.
According to Forbes, “the trend of increased personalization is driven by the success of internet giants like Amazon, Alibaba, and Google, and their ability to deliver personalized experiences and recommendations. AI allows providers of goods and services to quickly and accurately project a 360-degree view of customers in real-time as they interact through online portals and mobile apps, quickly learning how their predictions can fit our wants and needs with ever-increasing accuracy. Just as pizza delivery companies like Dominos will learn when we are most likely to want pizza, and make sure the “Order Now” button is in front of us at the right time, every other industry will roll out solutions aimed at offering personalized customer experiences at scale.”
Facial recognition is already being deployed in various sectors including retail, banking, and insurance in an effort to identify customers and detect frauds. 2020 expects more of facial-recognition adventures in areas such as security and ID checking, transportation logistics, healthcare, fast food restaurants, airlines, food and beverage companies, hotels, automobiles, and the energy industry.
AI is taking place at the “edge,” close to the point where data is gathered and used, this paradigm will continue to become more popular in 2020 and beyond, making AI-powered insights a reality outside of the times and places where super-fast fiber-optic and mobile networks are available.”

Have a look at this hotel in Hangzhou, China, opened by the Alibaba Group. The FlyZoo Hotel, which it describes as a “290-room ultra-modern boutique, where technology meets hospitality.” The hotel is the first of its kind in that it eschews traditional check-in and key card processes, instead allowing guests to manage reservations and make payments entirely from a mobile app, sign in using self-service kiosks, and enter their rooms using facial-recognition technology. Basically, the entire hotel management staff is robotic. Interestingly, even the bar is run by a robot. So bartenders out there might as well look for another job!!
Additionally, the hotel is run almost entirely by robots that serve food and fetch toiletries and other sundries as needed. The hotel was developed by the company’s online travel platform, Fliggy, in tandem with Alibaba’s AI Labs and Alibaba Cloud technology with the goal “to leverage cutting-edge tech to help transform the hospitality industry, one that keeps the sector current with the digital era we’re living in,” according to the company.
So if you are into hotel management your job might be at risk!!
In trucking industry the driverless trucks are in the market. As of late, the states of California, Florida, and Nevada, the United States of America have passed legislation allowing driverless trucks to be operated on a limited basis for demonstration and test purposes. … A Driver is still in the truck, but can switch the driverless capability on or off, going hands and feet free on demand.
If you live in Southern California and you’ve ordered one of those fancy new smart refrigerators in the past few weeks, it may have hitched a ride to you on a robotruck.
Since early October, autonomous trucks built and operated by the startup Embark have been hauling Frigidaire refrigerators 650 miles along the I-10 freeway, from a warehouse in El Paso, Texas, to a distribution center in Palm Springs, California. A human driver rides in the cab to monitor the computer chauffeur for now, but the ultimate goal of this (auto) pilot program is to dump the fleshbag and let the trucks rumble solo down the highway.
“This is the first time someone has demonstrated this end-to-end,” Embark CEO Alex Rodrigues says. “It showcases the way that we see self-driving playing into the logistics industry.”
So if you are into trucking industry in the United States of America your job might be at risk!!
If you speak aloud to one of the new high-tech fridges coming to market this year, your loved ones needn’t worry about your mental state. Fridges now can respond to voice commands. They also have screens that you can use to surf the web and read email. Some have cameras inside that will keep track of your current inventory and even alert you when certain items are going bad.
We take a look at two new smart fridges; one each from LG and Samsung. The two Korean electronics giants have been battling it out for feature supremacy in kitchen appliances for years, and now the companies each have an advanced, highly intelligent, top-of-the-line refrigerator that you can put in your home and talk to as often as you want.
So, if you are in home serving business or in inventory business your job might be at risk!!
The same way there are other things that might cost your jobs, and may be the world will be without future jobs or some new industry will pop up for survival.
